Welcome donation to Murrayfield Injured Players' Foundation

Scottish Rugby’s own charity, the Murrayfield Injured Players’ Foundation (MIPF), continues to rely on donations from rugby clubs, businesses and the wider community to keep up its good work.

The charity, set up in Scottish Rugby’s centenary season of 1972-73, assists injured Scottish rugby players and has helped a number of players with short or longer-term injuries.

In addition to financial support, the foundation also helps with cars, wheelchairs, computers, and adaptations to players’ or parents’ homes.

Recently, MIPF received a donation of £5,000 from the Caledonian Lodge 392. Based in Roseburn Gardens, a stone’s throw from BT Murrayfield, the lodge raised the money through having a raffle at the bar on international match days and also through a St Andrew’s night dinner.

Former Scottish Rugby President, Ian Rankin, said: “I would like to thank all involved with Caledonia Lodge for their generosity in donating £5,000 to the Murrayfield Injured Players Foundation, which will help us to continue to support club players who have suffered any hardship due to injury throughout Scotland.”
