The Foundation

The Murrayfield Injured Players Foundation is an independent fund recognised by Scottish Rugby.

The Foundation, originally set up in Scottish Rugby's centenary season 1972-73, focuses on providing assistance to injured Scottish rugby players and is financially and administratively independent. Since its inception, it has assisted a number of players with short or longer term injuries, with the help and s upport they needed.

It is vitally important that the Foundation continues to be able to grow and hence support those who need it most. To enable us to do that, the trustees welcome all contributions.

Support Chris Laidlaw !

The son of one of Scottish Rugby’s all-time greats is preparing for an “amazing challenge” for charity in 2021.

Chris Laidlaw, 30, a Scotland Club XV International stand-off and captain of Boroughmuir Bears (winners of the FOSROC Super6 Scottish Cup), is taking a year out of the game in 2021 – to run 12 marathons in 12 months!

The 12 in 12 quest will begin on New Year’s Day when he will set off from the Boroughmuir clubhouse at 10am to pound the pavements for some 26 miles.
